Board of Directors Incumbent Election Candidate Information |
Don Kitterman |
|
Director
I joined The City Employees Credit Union in 1981 when the City of Vancouver hired me in the water department. After 7 years with the city, I left to run our family business with my wife, Tammy. We have been married for 42 years and have two grown children. We continue to manage our business in Clark County with the assistance of our son, daughter, and a wonderful team.
I have had the honor and pleasure of serving as a Credit Union Board Member since 1994. I was originally elected to serve as a Board of Director of the City Employees Credit Union in 1994. I served continuously until 2001 when City Employees merged successfully with iQ Credit Union. I was vice chair of the board at City Employees Credit Union at the time of the merger. I became a Board Member at iQ as part of that merger. During my tenure as a director at City Employees Credit Union I not only served as Vice Chair of the Board but also chaired both the Marketing and Facilities committees.
As a board member at iQ I have served as a member of the Facilities Committee, Governance Committee, and Budget Committee and presided as the Chairman of the Business Services Advisory Committee. I am a Board Member of Clark Financial Services (a division of iQ that owns and operates insureQ). Throughout my tenure, I have attended numerous conferences, workshops, and other continuing educational opportunities. I work hard to keep educated and informed to provide the very best service to our Credit Union.
My promise to all of you, my fellow iQ Credit Union members, if re-elected, is to continue to serve the best interest of iQ with honor, integrity, and diligence. I appreciate your past support. I ask that you continue that support by casting your vote for me. Thank you! |

With over 15 years of experience serving the members of iQ Credit Union, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a passion for fostering a strong and resilient financial institution.
During my time as Director, I've offered my knowledge and experience to help set a strategic direction for the credit union. Through strategic planning sessions, annual CEO performance evaluations, and board meetings, I've provided a diverse perspective through many stages of the Credit Union's growth. As a local business owner and member of iQ, I use many of the services and products that iQ offers. I strongly believe that our financial institution should provide the tools and services necessary to simplify your banking needs. As a lifelong Credit Union member, I can recall opening my first passbook savings at the North Carolina Credit Union my educator parents belonged to. Many years later, my family continues that tradition, choosing the security and community values of credit union membership over other banking choices. Credit Union membership has benefited us at important life stages, from buying a first car, to saving for college and more - moments at which trusted financial advice and partnership is essential. As a candidate for the Board of Directors, I look forward to the opportunity to give back to the members of iQ Credit Union, innovate the digital banking experience, continue the amazing community involvement efforts, as well as lending financial oversight and expertise to the Board.
I began my career as a classroom teacher (third-generation educator) and know the importance of investing in education. True to these roots, I am a member of the Board of Directors of Open School in Portland, where I founded and led the Governance Committee. I also serve as a member of the Board of Directors of Goumi, a locally owned BIPOC/female-founded baby apparel company, as well as on the Board of Oregon Entrepreneur Network. After obtaining my MBA in 1991, I built a 20+ year career at NIKE, in increasingly global and complex strategic roles. Leading Direct to Consumer Strategy, I led the team responsible for bringing together web and store sales, enhancing the experience in-store and online, to better serve customers. For the past seven years, I have operated my own business, launched new consumer brands, and advised startups, family businesses, and senior executives on growth strategy. I have a passion for products and services that make a difference in the lives of consumers, and at the same time create exceptional places for employees to work and grow. I believe I can partner with the Board and Leadership team to preserve the soundness of iQ Credit Union while unlocking even more growth and member satisfaction. |

As a member of iQ Credit Union and having worked professionally within the credit union industry, I recognize the importance of sound financial management, transparency, and member engagement. I am excited about the opportunity to join the Board of Directors to ensure that all members regardless of background, income, or financial status have access to the financial services and guidance needed for a financially secure life. I will support members by upholding the credit union philosophy of "people helping people" together with member education, community investment, financial health, and employee development as foundational components of our culture.
In my professional capacity, I spearheaded corporate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives at Unitus Community Credit Union with a distinct emphasis on the 8th Cooperative Principle. Currently, I am the DEI Manager at Columbia Sportswear Company. I have led impactful programs that center on fostering competencies in inclusion and cultural proficiency.
Throughout my diverse experiences, I have had the privilege of collaborating with people from regions around the globe. I am truly grateful for your consideration in electing me to the iQ Credit Union Board of Directors. |

As a lifelong credit union member and advocate of the power of people helping each other, exemplified by iQ Credit Union, I am excited to apply for membership on the Audit Committee. With over 20 years of experience in security engineering and infrastructure security at various financial institutions, I bring extensive knowledge and expertise to the table. My bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance has equipped me with a strong foundation in auditing specifications and risk management, which will enable me to ensure responsible stewardship of iQ Credit Union during times of financial headwinds and economic change.
In addition to my passion for people helping each other, I am also committed to ensuring equitable access to banking and financial tools. As a member of the Audit Committee, I believe we must prioritize providing our members with equal opportunities to access financial services and resources, regardless of their background or socioeconomic status. By doing so, we can help build stronger communities and promote economic growth for all.
My commitment to protecting members' assets and sensitive data is unwavering, and I am confident that my skills and experience make me a valuable addition to your Audit Committee. My wife, two kids, and I have been enjoying the natural beauty of the area for several years now, and we are thrilled to be part of such a friendly community.

I have been a passionate advocate for credit unions for over 30 years. My wife and I recently relocated to Washougal, Washington, and joined IQ Credit Union as soon as eligible for membership. We've found our forever home in this beautiful region and are seeking ways to serve the community.
I retired as a Senior Director with Raytheon Technologies earlier this year. I led the international exports for the APG-79 radar, installed in all F/A-18 Super Hornet aircraft. I managed a large portfolio of programs, which included financial management, reporting, and auditing. Foreign military exports are closely regulated, and I have extensive experience with government regulations, compliance, and auditing. I served on multiple internal corporate compliance boards, which included risk management oversight. I have a proven history of collaborating with industry partners, government officials, and stakeholders to achieve consensus and ensure successful outcomes.
I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering and Mathematics from the University of Texas at Arlington, and a Master of International Management degree from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Phoenix, Arizona. I hold two utility patents, one being a financial process.
I am passionate about helping people achieve their financial goals and believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to achieve financial success. iQ Credit Union plays a vital role in our community by providing affordable and accessible financial services to their membership. I am confident that I can make a valuable contribution to the iQ Credit Union Audit Committee. I appreciate your consideration and seek your support. |
