Sean is a Cybersecurity and IT professional currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Information Technology with a focus on Cybersecurity at Laurea University of Applied Sciences in Espoo, Finland. He also holds an Associate of Science in Cybersecurity and Networking from Tacoma Community College, where he was a Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society member and graduated with High Honors. His academic foundation began with a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Cinema and a Minor in Video Game Design and Development from DePaul University in Chicago.
Sean brings a diverse background in customer service, technology, and team leadership, with hands-on experience ranging from cybersecurity and infrastructure management to event coordination and technical troubleshooting. Professionally, he's held roles such as Group Lead at Slush, where he led a team of over 10 volunteers and developed workflow automations that boosted efficiency. I've also worked in customer-facing roles at Walmart and McDonald's, where I developed strong communication and operational skills.
His technical competencies include network security, vulnerability management, Linux, Python, SQL, and cloud platforms like AWS. He holds Microsoft Office Specialist certifications in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and is actively pursuing additional technology certifications to further strengthen his skillset.
In addition to his academic and professional pursuits, he currently serves on SnoCope's Supervisory Committee (since January 2019), where he contributes to audit reviews and procedural oversight. This role has provided valuable insight into finance, risk management, and nonprofit governance.
Outside of work and study, he enjoys photography, video games, playing the piano, watching movies, and traveling. He's quite passionate about continuous learning, giving back to his community, and staying engaged with both creative and technical pursuits. |

Chris Leavines was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. He served for three years at AFJROTC unit LA-941 achieving the rank of Cadet Master Technical Sergeant, and graduated from Grace King High School, in Metairie, LA. After a stint at Louisiana Technical State University, he joined the Active-Duty component of the U.S. Navy in October of 2003 where he achieved the rank of Petty Officer First Class.
His Navy Recruit Training was conducted in Great Lakes, IL, after which he completed Aviation Electricians Mate "A" School in Pensacola, FL in the top five of his class. During his Navy Career Petty Officer Leavines acquired numerous certifications in electrical troubleshooting, and quality assurance as well as counseling, leadership practices, statistical analysis, and program management. He completed 80 hours of Naval War College Course Instruction in Joint Professional Military Education and is a qualified Skipper "B" Keelboat sailor.
Leavines' Navy sea duty tours include three squadrons homeported at Naval Air Station North Island in San Diego, CA, three shipboard assignments, and numerous support and training missions including humanitarian assistance in Florida, and Louisiana, and Presidential secret service aerial reconnaissance support in ---. Maintenance Technician, HELSUPPRON-11; Plane Captain, Maintenance Technician, HELSEACOMBATRON-21; Plane Captain, Maintenance Technician, Multiple Work Center Quality Assurance Inspector, HELSEACOMBATRON-23. He served aboard ship for the following notable events: Decommissioning Cruise, USS CAMDEN (AOE 2); Hurricane Katrina Relief Effort, USS IWO JIMA (LHD 7); RIMPAC '06 War-game Exercise, USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6).
Leavines' Navy shore assignments are encompassed by three Navy Recruiting Districts, Navy Recruiting Station West Valley City, UT, NRD Denver; Recruiter / Leading Petty, Navy Reserve Recruiting Station Ft. Douglas, UT, NRD Denver; Leading Petty Officer, Navy Recruiting Station Merced, CA, NRD San Francisco. Navy Reserve Recruiting Station Everett, WA, Navy Recruiting Command N3R Site Northwest, and finally Navy Recruiting Reserve Command.
During his tours in recruiting, Petty Officer Leavines' recruiting stations received Zone, Station Leads, and Nuclear of the year awards as well as numerous 300% and 400% club monthly awards (30 in total). In FY10 he was awarded Zone Recruiter of the year. In FY16 his recruiting station scored the highest on command wide inspection of all recruiting stations in four states and was selected Station of the Year by the commanding officer, and his command received two Meritorious Unit Commendations during his tenure. In FY18 the supportive efforts resulted in his recruiter holding the top production ranking within the district for a full year (#1) and receiving a commendation medal, and recruiter of the year award.
Leavines decorations also include two Navy Achievement, a Humanitarian Service Medal, and over 23 additional individual awards including 6 Flag Letters of commendation from Rear and Vice Admirals, and a Navy commendation medal.
With a strong inclination towards community involvement and service Leavines may be found working on local ecological improvement efforts, or on events with Boy Scouts of America, Toys for Tots with the United States Marine Corps, any of several Veteran Service Organizations, and SnoCope Credit Union's Supervisory Committee.
Currently he resides in Arkansas, with his wife, Veronica, and Isaac, his youngest of three sons. |
