Alex Pena

Presently SnoCope Credit Union Supervisory Committee Person

Alex's professional journey began in November of 2003, when he joined the US Navy, specializing in F-18 computer electronics. Over the years, he gained experience in aircraft maintenance and participated in joint operations in Iraq. Following military service, he transitioned to recruiting duty in Chicago, where he was introduced to sales, marketing, and business operations within the armed forces. In 2012, he ventured into entrepreneurship, establishing and selling several small businesses spanning ecommerce, landscaping, and property maintenance. In 2019, he pursued advanced computer programming, merging technical expertise with entrepreneurial experience to launch a consulting career in business technology. As a consultant, he assisted businesses with website development, online marketing, and workflow automation. Through diverse client engagements, he's gained valuable insights into business dynamics and strategies for success. He currently serves as the Director of Event Technology at the Westin Seattle, overseeing audiovisual teams for live event production and enhancing event experiences. Continual learning and personal growth are integral aspects of his life and interests.

 
John Billen, Incumbent

Presently SnoCope Credit Union Board Member

John Billen has been a SnoCope member for over 33 years. He recently retired from the University of Washington where he worked as a Technology Manager and as Assistant Chief of Operations for Emergency Command. Prior to his time with the UW, John worked for the City of Monroe as a Crime Analyst and served on the Emergency Command Center and taught CERT (the Community Emergency Response Team which educates volunteers about disaster preparedness, etc.). Prior to the City of Monroe, John was employed as a Corrections Deputy with Snohomish County for almost 20 years and taught at the Washington State Police Academy. During this time John also served as a volunteer Firefighter/Lieutenant with Snohomish County Fire District 11.  Prior to Snohomish County John served in the Washington National Guard and United States Navy where he received a medical discharge.

John and his wife, Sue, of over 40 years live in South Everett. Sue recently retired from Snohomish County after over 25 years. John has three grown children, and one is employed at Snohomish County as a Corrections Deputy. John has served on several boards, including President of Mariner High School Booster Club and President of Arena Youth Football League. John has coached youth and adult football and soccer for over 35 years in Snohomish County.

John has served on the SnoCope Board of Director's since 2021 and is the current Vice Chair.

 
Steven Torrence, Incumbent

Presently SnoCope Credit Union Board Member

Steve started working for Snohomish County in June 1999, first as a Performance Auditor for 2 ½ years, then as a Public Works Fiscal Analyst for seven years, and finally, as a supervisor in Fleet Management before his retirement. Before that, he served nearly 27 years in the United States Air Force and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He had numerous management and leadership positions, in the military and local community organizations. He currently serves on three boards and on the Finance Committee for the Imagine Children's Museum.

Steve has been a credit union member since 1972 and has been a SnoCope Board Member since March of 2000. He has served on SnoCope's Board for over 24 years; three years as Board Secretary, 10 years as Board Chair and again now as a member. He has helped contribute to SnoCope's success and would like to continue helping SnoCope serve its members well.

 
Peter Rudolf, Incumbent

Presently SnoCope Credit Union Board Member

Peter Rudolf is a civil law attorney practicing in Snohomish, Skagit, Island, and King Counties. He is the owner of the Galloway Law Group based in Lake Stevens. Peter has been a member of the SnoCope Board of Directors since 2018. During that time, he has served as the Board's Secretary.

Peter has lived in Everett for ten years and resides around the corner from the Credit Union with his wife, three children and numerous pets. Peter also serves as legal counsel on the Greater Marysville-Tulalip Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the Greater Marysville Tulalip Chamber Foundation Board.

 

Supervisory Committee Candidate Information
Bob Mueller, Incumbent

Presently SnoCope Credit Union Supervisory Committee Person

Bob Mueller began his career for Snohomish County in March 1986 by working with the Planning and Development Service Department to assist in a variety of mapping projects. He was with this department for about 20 years and helped with the transition from manual cartography to GIS mapping. When a new GIS mapping position opened within the Enhanced 911 office, he was selected for that position, and stayed in that program for about 11 years before retiring in 2017.

Prior to his employment with Snohomish County, he worked for the US Forest Service doing cadastral mapping with the Survey Department. Then he was hired by NOAA to work in their Nautical Chart division doing photogrammetry and preparing chart manuscripts. He also served in the US Navy from 1974 to 1978 active duty and 6 years in the Navy Reserve.

He is currently enjoying retirement, working on projects at his Lake Stevens home and on central Whidbey Island where he has vacation residence.

Bob has served on the SnoCope Supervisory Committee since November 2023.

 
Jack A. Hake, Incumbent

Presently SnoCope Credit Union Supervisory Committee Member

Jack Hake and his wife joined SnoCope Credit Union in 2007 when Jack was elected to Snohomish County Fire Dist. 21's, Board of Commissioners. Jack has been an active Credit Union member since that time and is excited for the opportunity to serve the Credit Union in a new capacity.

Jack has worked for Boeing Company for 34 years as a Production System Integration Leader, in many programs throughout his career in the aviation industry. Jack has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Seattle City University, with specialized studies in Organizational Excellence. Jack and his wife have two sons and two grandchildren. They spend their free time camping, fishing and spending as much time with their grandkids as they possibly can.

Jack has served on the SnoCope Supervisory Committee since October 2023 and is the current Supervisory Committee Chair.

 
Polagaya McLaughlin Fine, Incumbent

Presently SnoCope Credit Union Supervisory Committee Member

Polagaya McLaughlin is a long time SnoCope member. Recently retired after 36 years working in the Snohomish County's Solid Waste Division, where she managed contracts and projects for the Division, Ms. McLaughlin is interested in continuing to serve the community and to use her project and accounting skills. She currently holds a Trustee position with the Snohomish County Labor Council.

Polagaya has served on the SnoCope Supervisory Committee since January 2021 and is the current Supervisory Committee Vice Chair.
